A gorgeous morning spent with Melissa on a personal branding shoot, exploring some picturesque spots in the Waterworks Centre Nature Reserve on Leyton Marshes.
An intuitive life coach, specialising in helping people find their flow and discover their authentic truth, Melissa believes everyone has the power to feel inspired about their lives and reach their true potential.
On the day we spent the first hour going with the flow (she’s the queen of it after all!), exploring the nature reserve and taking portraits amongst the flowers.
Melissa was keen for me to capture some solo portraits initially to tell her story, and then her three year old daughter Maiya joined us for a few additional shots. Using these shots to help promote her new coaching course ‘Raising Parents’, the two of them played in the long grass, climbed on a wooden boat and picked blackberries together.
We had lots of fun experimenting with these shots, playing with the focus and softening the photos using filters over my lens. I’m super happy with how they turned out… they feel like the perfect representation of Melissa and her personality.
