Such a great start to the new year… a personal branding shoot with the incredibly talented Lauren of Presto, a creative design studio specialising in cakes and desserts.
Lauren only recently launched her new business, so it was an absolute joy to work with her on her very first brand photo shoot. She’s also my sister so this made it extra fun!
We set up in Lauren’s lovely bright home in north London, taking a series of portraits as well as some of her in action making a beautiful mille feuille (white chocolate, whipped ganache and macadamia cream).
It’s hard to describe exactly what Lauren creates… these beautifully intricate pieces of edible art are quite something. Using seasonal ingredients, Lauren also forages and preserves certain elements to design desserts that are completely one of a kind.
With a background in fashion design, Lauren graduated from Central Saint Martins in 2014 and worked as a designer for brands including Louis Vuitton and Uniqlo before taking her talents into the world of pastry & baking.
Lauren had a very specific style she wanted to capture, including a sepia tone for some of her portraits. Collecting images and creating a moodboard beforehand (all part of my Soulful Shoot process) really helped us bring her ideas to life.
